Tournament Details:
  • We are once again offering WALKING and RIDING rates at Rooster!  The rules remain the same as last year. You have the choice of walking or riding. PLEASE make sure of your choice as changing choices on the day of the tournament causes headaches...for ME.  This choice only applies to TEAMS. If you want to walk, both members of the team need to walk. Single riders will not be allowed.  Walking or Riding options will be LOCKED IN two weeks before the tournament. After March 31, If you decide you want to walk instead of ride, we cannot refund your money.  If you want to ride instead of walk, you will need to make arrangements at the course for a cart. Remember, BOTH players on a team need to change, not just one.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The option to walk or ride will NOT be available for all tournaments.

  • Get your team scorecard from a Club official (Probably Marshall) when you arrive.

  • If riding, you may pick up your cart in the clubhouse, one cart per team.

  • Please arrive at the first tee 10 minutes ahead of your assigned tee time.

  • This is a 2-person scramble, meaning both players hit a tee shot, then you pick one of the balls and both players hit from a spot no more than one club length from that ball's lie, (in the same cut and no closer to the green), repeat until on the green.

  • On the green, each team member may place a ball within four inches on either side of the selected shot, no nearer the hole.  The ball must be hand placed.  The ball is in play when the player addresses it, or if he does not address it, when he makes his next stroke.

  • The hole is completed when the first ball of the team is holed.  When any member of the team plays any ball from the position it came to rest, that is considered selection of that shot by the team.

  • You must use at least 6 of each players’ drives/tee shots.

  • Handicaps are calculated by taking 35% of the better player’s handicap added to 15% of the other player’s handicap

  • If your guest does not have an NCGA handicap, you must provide a typical score for him or her, and the course he or she usually plays on.  We will estimate a handicap and use it in the calculation of team handicap.
